Pamela Marie Wilhelm-Giuliani, 57, passed away in her home early on May 21, 2017 in West Lafayette, Indiana, surrounded by her family.

A native of Defiance, Ohio, Pamela was born on July 24, 1959 to Donald and Grace (Meyer) Wilhelm. She married Gabriele F. Giuliani on May 27, 1989 in Lafayette. He died on November 22, 2012.

Pamela graduated from Heidelberg College with a B.S. and continued her studies at Wright State University where she completed a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. After an internship in Lansing, Michigan, she moved to Lafayette where she was employed as a clinical psychologist with Wabash Valley Alliance and Jefferson High School.

Pamela was an inventive cook, a household poet, a spontaneous dancer, and most proudly and lovingly, a mother, wife, sister, and friend. Her joy, calm words, and strength could never be defeated and instead bettered those around her.

She is survived by her parents; and her beloved children: Daniela of Queens, New York; Adriana of Columbus, Ohio; and Giuseppe of West Lafayette. Also surviving are her siblings: Ann Wilhelm (Amer Abu Alfa), Thomas Wilhelm (Charlene), Mary Wilhelm-Chapin (Stephen), Barbara Hilgenberg (Thomas), and Linda Pezzolesi (Timothy). She will also be greatly missed by her adored nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, along with her husband, was her brother Stephen.

A celebration of Dr. Pamela Wilhelm-Giuliani’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 3rd in the Faculty Lounges of the Purdue Memorial Union. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers for donations to be made to charities of the donor’s choice.

Only God knows why He had to take her so early. She was a wonderful cousin and I always remember her as laughing.

I’m so sad to hear we have lost this beautiful free kind spirit. I loved her smile and her laugh and her dances. Her stories she told of her life. I’m so very glad I met her.
